Kerala Land Information Mission

Kerala land information mission is launched by the government of Kerala under the revenue department of Kerala. This mission has been launched in order to modernize the cadastral survey and for digitization of activities of survey and land records. Through this mission, various kinds of surveys and digitalization programs are executed by the committee. Objective Of Kerala Land Records

The main objective of Kerala Land Records/Kerala Land Survey is to make available all the kinds of records of land in Kerala through the official website. This official website has been launched under the digitalization campaign. Now the citizens of Kerala are not required to go to any government offices in order to extract details regarding land records. Implementation Of Kerala Land Records

The land records of Kerala will be implemented by various divisions and units set up by the government. The information about these units and divisions are as follows:-State project office: State project office has been set up in museum Bains compound, kowdiar P.O and Thiruvananthapuram in order to manage, monitor and execute various statewide modern land survey projects, GIS-based digitization project training program etc. Various sub-offices are also set up under the state project office.

Central digitization Centre

The central digitisation centre is set up in the public office building, Thiruvananthapuram. This Central digitisation centre is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and data fine-tuning works of the District digitisation centre. Other than that conventional resurvey data of paper map with the local coordinate system is also converted in these centres

GPS Unit

In order to provide cadastral survey work with precision and accuracy GPS units are set up. So that the land record can become universal geo coordinate system

Stores and Logistic Unit

For conducting Kerala Land Survey many types of equipment like computer, scanner, plotter etc are required. In order to ensure that the proper supply of the required equipment stores and the logistic unit has been set up in the public office building, Thiruvananthapuram. These units are responsible for the prompt delivery of the required equipment at the site

District Digitisation Centre

To increase the rate of coverage of digitization activities at the district level District digitisation centres are set up. These centers are also responsible for updating digital land records in web map service to the public

Central Modern Record Room

In order to properly manage and retrieve data Central modern record rooms are set up in the Central survey office, Thiruvananthapuram. The central modern record room is the main survey record body of the state. All kinds of survey records are kept in this room. These rooms are equipped with modern racks and other facilities

District Modern Record Room

In order to keep all the district records safe a district modern record room has been set up in every district of Kerala which will work under the district survey superintendent office of the collectorate. In 12 districts these records rooms are set up. These record rooms will have movable compactors, a scientific map library facility etc So that easy retrieval of data can be ensured
